Source is a company that is specializing in trips and camping, which markets a range of products used for many travelers in the country (Israel) and the world. The company has a wide range of 'straps' which were originally used sandals, and now is also been using in many other products.
Designed Lighter, customized to the average traveler
LIGHT SOURCE
As a man, who defines himself a 'non-smoker' (even passively), when I had to design a lighter, I decided to express my lack of interest in smoking as a starting point explicitly. I did that by choosing to cut off the Lighter from the cigarette, and thus give a different context to that lighter itself. Better. Healthier. Natural. One that is associated with concepts like, clean and airy.
In addition to the context, of course I was looking for a genuine need,where a 'non-smoker, is actually using a ("cigarette") lighter.
For me, the connection to nature was immediate.
A trip to the mountains, Night swimming in a spring, or simply a picnic with friends, are just some of the cases which involved almost always the necessary of a fire usage.
The lighter is designed in such a way, that it easily connects to pants or a bag.
Also allows re-filling, and of course comes in a variety of visual designs.
