Beach Locker
Plastic locker for storing personal belongings at the beach
Scenario and Directions for use:
At the beach, there is a rental place of mobile lockers and anyone can come and rent the product for a nominal fee. First, we take the locker to the desired location on the beach and there with the help of the Spoon\Tray (who is also the bottom cover), we fill some sand inside it. Later, we turned the locker, we store the objects we want, and lock using a 'code-locker' that locks the two cells together. After we finish using, we can remove personal belongings first, and then just pull out the bottom tray, so the sand will spilled out. Finally, on our way out, we will return the locker to the rental place.
For most people, the beach is identified as a fun place. Sometimes though, especially if we've been harmed before, we carry to the beach quite a few concerns that our belongings might get stolen. Therefore, a substantial need for a tool that will help us feel safe and secure and yet it won't harm the proper comfort, we are seeking when we are in a place like the beach, has arose. In a study research that i did, helped me discover among other things that the things people bring with them to the beach, there is an inverse relationship between the physical sizes of an item to its importance. The three most important items that are common among people who come to the beach, are not other than the cell-phone, wallet and car keys. That early conclusion has lead me to the realization that a small Storage compartment can suffice.
One of the main questions that guided me from the very beginning, was whether the product should be public or private property. In addition, the pros and cons of a visible and hidden product were also tested, as well as, the location and ideals materials. Finally it was decided it would be more correctly if the product will be owned by the beach or a public company and not owned by an individual. Technical and visual design were made accordingly, of course.
The main concept is the ability of the user to make the product (locker) from portable to stationary, quickly and easily.
